⟡ Trickz is a tiny crowned one-eyed blob who floats in the screen corner, blinks, reacts to chapters, comments on your scroll speed, and tapping him opens a live AI chat.

⟡ Scroll milestones at 15%, 30%, 50%, 70%, and 88% fire ambient commentary. Chapter end events, fast-scroll warnings, and periodic ambient reactions run automatically while reading.

⟡ v1.4: Trickz now suppresses entirely when full-screen overlays are active — no more bubbles bleeding over the Codex, Taren chat, or any other panel.

System Update Terminal

This very screen — fully rebuilt

MAJOR

⟡ The updates overlay is completely rebuilt as a SYSTEM TRANSMISSION terminal — live uplink indicator, animated data ticker strip, version hero with deployment bar, and a 2-column card grid layout.

⟡ Update entries now use a standardised terminal card system with classification badges, status bars with fill animations, scan line sweeps, and hover slide-in transforms.

⟡ Content updated to reflect V1.4 changes. The seen-key is bumped so the notification dot reappears for all returning readers.

VerdeMail Decommissioned

In-world mail system removed

REMOVED

⟡ VerdeMail has been fully removed from the platform — the overlay, CSS block, and full JavaScript engine have all been stripped out.

⟡ This freed up significant system overhead, eliminated orphaned HTML from the DOM, and simplified the codebase substantially.

⟡ Cross-platform messaging will return in a future build with a cleaner implementation. No Firebase data has been deleted.

⟡ The "Enter the Story" button had a small touch target, especially on mobile. Outer padding is now 1.5rem × 4.4rem on desktop and 1.15rem × 3rem on mobile.

⟡ A .55rem buffer is added to the button element itself, further expanding the tap area without visually changing the appearance.

⟡ All animations, shimmer sweeps, corner bracket effects, and hover states are fully preserved — only the physical size changed.

Hex Cursor — Layer Fix

Z-index hierarchy corrected

⟡ Trickz bubbles, chat input wrap, typing indicators, and reaction emojis were sitting at z-index 9997–9998 and bleeding through all overlays. All are now at z-index 599–601 — above body content, below every overlay.

⟡ The Trickz overlay-awareness system (see PKG 01) suppresses all elements when a full-screen panel is active, preventing any visual intrusion.

⟡ Glass wave ripples on click continue to function correctly at their visual layer with no changes to their behavior.

⟡ Hover state upgraded: sparkle crosshair lines in four directions plus a slow-rotating hex outline appear around the selected location dot.

⟡ Open panel: stone scrape noise burst with electric seal thud. Close reversal plays the same in mirror timing. Neither is musical — both are textural.

⟡ Chapter click fires an FM electric snap with a high-frequency static burst — tight, tactile, nothing like the ambient chapter complete sound.

⟡ Bookmark rebuilt as mechanical pin-drop + slow metallic ring + single spatial echo reflection. Scroll-to-top redesigned as an upward electric streak with velocity crackle.
